GIOVANIS is a sterile, latex-free, non-pyrogenic, totally bioresorbable, non-permanent implant, whose principle component is synthetic Poly-ε-Caprolacton (PCL) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier of phosphate buffered saline, glycerin and carboxymethylcellulose. PCL is a well-known totally bioresorbable soft medical polymer and is used in numerous CE-marked and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved commercial bioresorbable product applications for several decades world-wide and has demonstrated an excellent safety profile.

The product has a particle size range of 25-50 microns. The product uses the body’s natural response to encapsulate the microspheres and stimulate the formation of connective tissue. Due to the good biocompatibility of the microspheres, the connective tissue growth, which replaces the gel carrier, is normally completed within a few months. Over time, the imperfection or condition is filled with autologous connective tissue. Due to its unique physical properties, the total bioresorbability of PCL microspheres is predictable, controlled and tunable.

    • Type S. 1 syringe per package. Each syringe contains0.5 mL or 1.0 mL of the product.
    • Type M. 1 syringe per package. Each syringe contains1.0 mL of the product.
  • Indication
    • The product is an injectable implant, indicated for subdermal implantation in the face for the correction of wrinkles and facial aging signs or conditions.
